The exercise:

By the end of today I will be 1/3 of the way through November, at least 2/5 of the way to 50,000 words, and still sick.

Oh well, two out of three ain't bad.

Your Two Haiku Tuesday prompt this week: outlines.

NaNo Word Count: 22,222
NaNo Target: 16,668

Mine:

Ten days have sped past
And my wonderful outline
Has been looked at once

* * *

Your sidewalk profile
Is all that remains of you;
Goodbye, my mistress

You seem to be plowing through the book, despite your illness. I'm cheering for you!

dancing eyes and smile
now ever remembered as:
a white chalk outline

By the end of today (Wednesday) I'll be in Moncton, Canada. And probably quite cold by the sounds of the weather there at the moment!

Congrats on the work so far, Eloo, it's all looking very impressive. Heh, and the outline isn't so much for checking every day but to structure your thoughts at the start so you know what you're writing about.

Outlines

Where you fell is now
Marked by chalk and police tape:
'Diva' to 'outline'.

-----------

They're least popular
Of all the lines that there are
No-one likes outlines.

Oops, nearly forgot! I like your second outline best, and looking at it I think we have been thinking along the same lines when I wrote my first.

Monica - thanks very much, your encouragement is definitely appreciated. Sickness be damned, I'm still writing!

Your first one is quite lovely and I do like the second as well :)

Greg - you'll have to let me know if you see much stuff around with my last name on it - my Dad's side of the family is rather prolific in Eastern Canada.

And thank you, too :)

I really like your 'diva to outline'... line.

Little late, but better than never, right?

We sketch out our lives,
Limning tomorrow with black,
Fine detail colored by time.
