The exercise:

I was digging around National Geographic's photo section today, looking for something to use as a prompt, and came across this:

So today we're going to offer up some captions for that shot. Doesn't it look like a painting?

Mine:

And so the dolphin invasion begins...

* * *

"Stop pushing - there's plenty of room for everyone!"

* * *

"Last one out of the water is a rotten roe!"

I like the latest AFC chapter, but now that you've worked on it independently of Protagonize there's much less to say apart from "This is good!" so I'm commenting slightly less on it now. I'm still reading though!

Oooh, captions! You've both done good ones, I'm a bit stuck now.

Captions

* Testing the underwater dolphin cannon: test one, minor success.

* Dolphinalia -- like Saturnalia only wetter

* The receipe for dolphin soup started 'Take one ocean'...

Between the captions you and the others came up with, the only thing I could think of was something along the lines of a certain Douglas Adams' title:

With a final look back at the stormy sea, one of the dolphins clicked and whistled a line he'd heard long ago as he and his comrads took to the skies: "So long, and thanks for all the fish."

Thank you Adams for invading my thoughts and obscuring anything better.

Summerfield - nice :)

Greg - well, as long as you keep reading I'm happy :)

I can't decide if your first or your third is my favorite. I'm leaning towards the third :D

g2 - well I'm glad somebody made use of that! I know it was capering around in the back of my mind the whole time.

And yes indeed, thank you Adams :)
