The exercise:

Your four line poem topic this week: arrogance.

Inspired by Anderson "The Spider" Silva, who might just be the most cocky mixed martial artist in the world. Unfortunately he happens to be good enough to back it up (he just finished successfully defending his middleweight title for a UFC record sixth consecutive time).

Just for the record: I would not step into a locked cage with this man for all the money in the world.

Mine:

What is this?
Has your pretty little mouth sprung a leak?
It must have!
For I did not give you permission to speak.

I was reading about him in Fighters Only recently, and wondering if he'd keep his title. Well done to him!

So..., are there any cage fighters you'd be willing to get into a locked cage with then? I'd love to give it a try, but I'm a good two years of intensive training away from even the junior leagues!

Arrogance

Born of over-confidence,
And not enough self-awareness,
You know just enough for arrogance,
And not enough for results.

No, I suppose there aren't any I'd want to. But I'm sure I could find one or two I'd be willing to get in there with for a sufficient amount of money (read: billions).

I've no proper training, outside a couple of boxing lessons in university. I wouldn't mind getting into it just for the fitness aspect though.

I liked your four lines; that last line smells strongly of the truth, in my experience.
