The exercise:

Your four lines of prose this week shall be about: dinosaurs.

Why? Because I rediscovered my love of all things dinosaur tonight. You got a problem with that?

Mine:

"Miss Brooks, I can't be Sarah's partner during art anymore!"

"And why is that Jake?"

"Just look at what she did to this T. Rex! She colored him pink!"

You're supposed to tell us what caused you to rediscover your love of all things dinosaur! I haven't spotted any t.rexes wandering the streets of Vancouver, so it's unlikely to have been that -- have you perhaps been swimming in tar pits?

Dinosaurs

"It's a dinosaur." Vanessa's voice was flat, and perhaps just a little disapproving as she stared at the room-sized computer that her supervisor was so proudly displaying. "I can't write a thesis using that. It'd be quicker to just grow and feed the adjudication committee to a velociraptor."

He crashed through the trees, pulverized the brick wall, flattened the jeep until it looked like one of the smooshed pennies from the zoo or carnival machines, and then roared his triumph! The roar was equal only to that of an F16 flying directly overhead. He was the king dinosaur of his domain. The ultimate supreme ruler. At least that is how it looked to me as my 2 year old son stormed through the house.

Greg - I like to be mysterious sometimes :)

And I've had similar thoughts about computers I've been forced to use for work in the past...

Heather - I can picture those scenes perfectly - both the imaginary one and the one that happened in reality :)
