The exercise:

Your topic today is: the honeymoon.

Note: this is a scheduled post since, funnily enough, I'm away on my honeymoon right now. Well, the first one anyway.

Mine:

"This is bloody miserable," Richard declared with a look of complete disgust on his face.

"Well I don't think it's all that bad," Michelle replied with a shrug. "It really could be worse, you know."

"I really don't see how," he muttered darkly as he inspected the terrain around them.

"Just imagine if, instead of honey, this moon was made of fresh sewage!"

Richard didn't bother replying - he just turned and slowly, ever so slowly, waded back towards their mostly sunken spaceship.

I like what you've written, but it feels like a scheduled post this time, as if you were starting to run out of steam having put six or seven daily-writings together all at once.
I hope you're enjoying the honeymoon too!

The honeymoon

"There's something wrong with this honeymoon," said Dr. Septopus. He was sitting in the jacuzzi holding a Pink Lady in one wrinkled tentacle, his head tilted back so he could stare at the ceiling, with the bubbles on full power.
"That's because there's too many people on it," said Miss Carnage. Her voice was muffled because her head was most of the way in the mini-bar fridge. A heap of discarded bottles clinked at her ankles.
"Yes," said Dr. Septopus. The Kalahari Kalamari, better known as 'Ugh! Yukky tentacles' dashed out of the bedroom and tripped over a rug. He skidded across the floor on his chest, coming to a stop with his head hanging over the edge of the jacuzzi, and threw up as Dr. Septopus threw himself backwards, up and out.
"Well, someone's missing," said Miss Carnage.
"Sylvestra?"
"No, the Green Lightbulb. He went out looking for a nightclub last night, and he's not come back."
"And Sylvestra."
"No, she's passed out in the wedding bed; she said she was keeping it warm for Green when he returned."
"She set it on fire?"
Miss Carnage nodded. "It's a very exciting honeymoon," she said.

Marc - Nicely done! That was funny enough to make me laugh!

Greg - I like what you wrote, great details about the whole happening and it's funny as well. Made me laugh too! :)

Mine:

Honey, are you ready for the moon trip? Where's moon? It's nothing close to lunar 1st or 15th, can't see the moon at all. Are you sure?? I am just right beside you, can't you see?

Marc- What a sticky mess, but cute indeed.

Greg- Too many people is an understatement.
------

They'd set sail that morning, the luxurious yacht destined for the warm islands south of Hawaii. A small villa and a handful of servants awaited their arrival on the private island. They stood in the prow of the boat, sipping champagne as they watched the waves sliced by the boat. Spray wet the white sides of the boat, making it shimmer in the rising sun. Joanna set her glass down and smiled broadly at her husband. Snuggling up to her husband of less than 24 hours, she purred into his neck, "It's perfect George."

George relished the closeness, the feel of her chilled skin against his own. Her warm breath and wet lips raised goosebumps on his arms and sent a shiver down his spine. He leaned over her, taking in the smell of her hair, then raising her face so that he could kiss her lips. It was a soft kiss. A kiss that is shared between lovers of a long time; almost chaste. He planned their honeymoon meticulously, careful to keep every detail to himself.

A light danced seductively in her eyes, her lips curved up in a small smile. "Shall we go below?" she whispered. He smoothed the wind blown hair from her face, lifted her in his arms, and began to carry her to the lower cabin. She smiled at him, crossing her ankles and unbuttoning his shirt. He began walking across the deck, his attention split between his wife and his balance. She kissed him again. Kicking the step between levels, he stumbled to the rail, catching himself but losing his grip on her. Water splashed on the deck as the boat continued careening away from her. He watched her small form struggling in the water.

A large smile spread across his face. Mission accomplished he thought. Heading down to the cabin, he began to count the millions he stood to inherit, only a small portion of which needed to be paid out to the small on-board crew.

Greg - yup, the steam was definitely all done by this point :)

"Ugh! Yukky tentacles!" has a nice ring to it...

Zhongming - thanks, glad you liked it. Nice take on the prompt :)

Heather - great setup. I suspected something bad was going to happen, but I didn't see that coming!
