The exercise:

Two haiku about (or by?): Superman.

Out of town for the week, so this is a scheduled post.

Mine:

He beat the train home
But he can't be bothered to
Take out the garbage

*     *     *

While crowds cheer for him
And nations erect statues,
He misses his home

Have you randomised the posting times? First 10pm, now 10am? And is this, in fact, part of a plan for a post just before you get back, that somehow explains it all and leaves us gasping in wonderment?
Just asking :)

I like your first haiku better today, I would completely feel like that too if I were Superman.

Superman
Famous Man of Steel,
Arrested in Russian town
Bow down to Stalin.

---------

Lois Lane screamed
But was drowned out by others,
Superman lost her.

Wow! This is quite a coincidence. I just started a blog and made my first post about haikus, and I go looking for other writing blogs, and I find this one, with the newest post about haikus.

Well, let's see...

He wears red undies,
But, man! Don't make fun of him.
He'll beat you to shreds.

Red and blue whipping
into purple blur; he spins
around the world.
---
Green is the crystal
growing at odd angles
slowly draining him

Greg - haha, funnily enough, the am was a mistake. I'd meant to schedule them all for 10 in the evening :P

The picture your second haiku paints in my head wins the day this week.

Drake - it was obviously meant to be, I reckon :P

A slightly delayed welcome to the blog! I hope you enjoy your time here.

I guess you have to be that strong in order to get away with wearing that outfit :)

Brittany - ah, those are both really good. I'm having trouble picking a favorite.

I'll go with the first I think, as I really like the imagery you used.
