The exercise:

Write something about: the pretender.

Big day. Time for bed.

Mine:

I'm pretending
Everything's all right,
Keeping the truth
Safely out of sight.

That's a slightly worrying little poem, given that there's no preamble to explain it. I hope everything is alright :)

The pretender
It's what you call it before your arm gets bruised,
It's just a little pre-tender
And the guy you go and show it to
Is called... the pre-mender?

The Pretender

My people live in
A world of my creation
Deep within the mind

The Pretender

From the imagination in my head,
Spring up world, not yet read.

Inside this I like to hide.
Pretending that I live inside,
These prefect places still untouched.

By the Encorrubtible Much!

*giggles* inspired by Morrigan's poem above and my own slightly brain tired state of the moment... I need a week long nap!

Greg - yeah, I wanted to come up with something less... cryptic, but couldn't manage it.

Cute slant on the prompt, I'd never have seen it coming :)

Morrigan - beautifully summarized :)

Cathryn - it is fun to pretend to live in our made up worlds, isn't it?

And yes, I could go for a week long nap as well...
