The exercise:

Write a four line poem about: the time change.

Because we're 'springing forward' an hour tomorrow. Hurray?

Max actually had a decent night's sleep last night, despite his cold. And he was generally pretty happy today as well, but maybe that was due to all that awesome sunshine we had.

Kat took him out on our deck to enjoy it for a little while and I was unable to resist the urge to take a picture:

I'm not sure there's anything cuter than babies in sunglasses. I'm sure Max will convince me otherwise eventually, but for now this is true.

Mine:

Meetings, meals, and moods -
Not a one feels right;
All for the sake of
Saving some daylight.

I thought the daylight savings changes were for the benefit of farmers, originally? Nowadays though, I think I agree with you that it's a bit pointless. Certainly as someone who gets up at 5am weekdays the spring change is really annoying: just as it's getting light when I get up it goes back to being dark again for another month. It's disorienting.
The picture is good, and Kat looks stunning in it. (Max looks great too, but you'd already pointed that out.) The deck looks like a great place to spend time too; did you say you're completing it this weekend?
I definitely agree with the sentiment of your poem :)

The time change
He's trapping sunlight in old jars,
Saving for a rainy day;
He'll beat the time change on his own,
In a very special way.

Greg - apparently, yes. But this farmer could happily do without it :P

And yes, as you've already learned, the deck was scheduled for completion :)

Trapping sunlight in jars. I shall have to try that this summer...
