The exercise:

Write a four line poem about: the ruse.

Good lord, so much happened today. And I don't have the energy to write about it, so I shall save almost all of it for tomorrow.

The one bit I'll share today?

We sold out of strawberries at 10:04 this morning.

Mine:

String her along,
Don't let the truth slip;
One small misstep
May well sink this ship.

The good folk of Penticton must have been starved of strawberries until you came along then! That's impressively fast, especially given how many you picked. Well done!
That's a great little poem for such a busy day too :)

The ruse
I'm walking in the shadow of the blues,
Hiding from the evil eye. But my shoes
Keep giving me away. I know this ruse
Won't work when the sax player gets the news.

[I know, it's awful. It's one of those days when I'm pressed for time though, so consider this me showing that I need lots more practice!]

Greg - yeah, they certainly love their strawberries.

I would not call that 'awful'. Not one of your best efforts, perhaps, but still nothing to be ashamed of, certainly.

But yes, we all need loads of practice... might as well get some of it in here, right? :)
