The exercise:

Write two haiku about something that is: fried.

Don't mind me, just catching up on things...

Mine:

One flash of lightning
plus an unprotected path
equals fried tech bits.

*     *     *

Fried chicken in a
restaurant? Yum. Fried chicken
in a coop? No thanks.

Ah, you're back :) And further behind on comments than ever before :-P
I like your second haiku better today, though I'm not sure I agree about disliking coop-fried chicken. I'm sure it's delicious after you've removed the singed feathers....

Fried
Arteries clogged
Burst open. Too much fried food.
Cardiac arrest.

--------------
Crunchy deep-fried snails,
Frog's legs, tripe, tongue, brain, kidneys –
Frying makes it great!

Marc,

I hate the smell of frying electronic components! However, the smell of my Mom's frying chicken is a wonderful memory.

Greg,
I liked your first one; quite clever and, hopefully, something we never experience.

Fried

Eight chicken pieces
Coat with flour, salt, pepper
Sizzle in hot oil!

Sunscreen left at home
Hat, brolly in the closet
Don’t even touch me!

Greg - yeah, still working on that whole comment backlog thing. Maybe one day I'll be caught up again...

Heh,"Frying makes it great" indeed. So, so true.

Aholiab - hah, particularly enjoyed your second one. That last line just sums it up perfectly.
