The exercise:

Write two haiku about: the plumber.

Our bathroom sink started leaking the other day, so I asked Kat's dad to come down and have a look at it. Max, of course, wanted to help Papa, despite the lack of room.

I figure if we give him another couple years of this he'll be taking care of our plumbing needs:

Another box day in the books. There were at least three screw ups on our end, plus we had two separate groups of customers show up half an hour early to collect their produce (which likely contributed to two of the mistakes)... but we got it done.

Back to weeding and such things tomorrow morning.

Mine:

His rates may be high,
but at least the ass crack is
complimentary

Water at my knees,
he said he'd be right over.
Water at my neck...

I guess if you needed to get Kat's dad to look at the sink you don't know too much about plumbing yourself, so I feel I should point out that Max is attempting to wrench the corner of the door off... he might be better suited to carpentry (or demolition...) :) Of course, my approach to all things plumbing to call a plumber, so I can't really talk here!
The box programme sounds like it was fun then! Mistakes happen though, and it sounds like they were being made on all sides, so it was clearly just one of those days :)
I think I like your second haiku better this week, but it's a tough choice between them!

The plumber
Lead pipe in the Lounge...
Master Plug, the Plumber's son!
Why haven't I won?

---------
His bill is too high,
The tap just needs a washer!
I'll lief use the hose.

[Ok, explanation time: first haiku is what you get when you can't remember if you're playing Cluedo(Clue) or Happy Families, and lief is archaic but I'd run out of syllables :(

I'm not good at writing haikus, but you must be relieved that this leaked was patched up quickly. Your little Max sure loves getting his hands dirty, or wet, while watching the big boys fix up the pipes. It pays to know a plumber, as you would not scramble anymore once something goes wrong. Well, let's hope there are no further disruptions, as long as plumbing is concerned! Take care!

Greg - hah, wise ass :P

You're completely forgiven the archaic word in your second haiku, as I always enjoy learning new things (well, it's new to me at any rate).

Levi - thanks :)
