The exercise:

Write a four line poem about: misty memory lane.

Had a fun, busy couple of hours this afternoon with 6 adults and 5 kids over to hang out in my parents backyard. It was nice catching up with high school friends I hadn't seen in a while, and I'm hoping to see most of them, and a few others, tomorrow afternoon for the family picnic at the beach.

Fingers crossed the weather chooses to cooperate with us.

Mine:

I see the pictures and know
I should know all of these faces,
But names have become lost
In the misty in-between places...

It sounds like all your friends have kids now! I think you're about to become the star of your own sitcom -- we'll call in "On the corner" as a subtle reference to your surname, but we'll also set it so that the farm is on a corner somehow. The pilot episode can track the transition from office job to farmer (elements of "The Goode Life" in there) and after that we'll build the plot points around hilarious things children do ("the episode where Max and Miles run the BBQ"), visits from your high school friends who learn what farm-life is like ("the episode where everyone gets caught in a wildfire!") and your job at the community centre ("the episode where Marc breaks the photocopier").
I like the poem too; I can see where you're coming from. I never bothered to learn the names in the first place though... :)

Misty memory lane
There are monsters in the mists now,
As I sift through these old thoughts,
The longer I remember for,
The more chance of getting caught...

Greg - hah! Your episode descriptions make my life sound far more fascinating that it really is. I do like it though :)

Ooh, this is an intriguing concept. I could easily see it expanded into something larger. In fact, I think I'd be very happy if you did so :D
