The exercise:

Write a four line poem about: shifting gears.

Big accomplishment of the day was rearranging Max's room once again. He helped me do it and I asked for his thoughts on where things should go (I only had to veto one thing). I think the end result is a definite improvement.

We'll see how long it lasts this time.

Mine:

A month long build up
Has left behind frustration.
Let's forget all that
And plan our next vacation...

But what did you have to veto? Since you're making us guess, I'm going with Max asked to have his bed raised up on blocks by 18 inches so that Miles could be put underneath it and learn his place in life from an early age :) Or possibly so that you could sleep under it so that you keep the monsters away!
Hah, I like the poem and I like your approach to dealing with the news you shared with us yesterday. I'm thinking of a holiday too -- in November, which is the first month I don't have work planned for :)

Shifting gears
He built a clock with shifting gears
To tell the time for a hundred years.
He made an error, just the one,
Now he, the clock, and time are gone.

Greg - hah, I'm sure if he was aware that was an option he would have insisted on it.

Thanks, and I hope that your November vacation works out for you :)

I feel like this is the beginning of an intriguing adventure. That I would like to hear. Very much so, actually.
