The exercise:

Write a four line poem about: fragile words.

Stopped by the Osoyoos farmers market this morning to pick up some pickled beets and pickled garlic scapes, had a family walk (well, Max rode his bike... of course) along the lake, and then came home for lunch.

After lunch I took Max into town to hang out and pick up a few groceries. Managed to not be killed by various inattentive drivers. Picked up Mexican food for dinner on the way home.

Both boys were asleep before 8 tonight, which left Kat and I with enough time to watch The Spectacular Now on Netflix. Can't remember the last time we had time to watch an entire movie in one night. Ah, fall is almost here.

Twas a good day.

Mine:

They slip from my lips,
Twirl toward the ground;
Shattering on impact,
The pieces never found.

Sounds like you'll have to get pedals for that bike sooner than you expected! Mexican food sounds nice, I'm not sure I can find that in Malta without making it myself. That said, there's a restaurant that does do an excellent Indian curry, so it's not all bad.
A comment on words since that's what the prompt is about: for me you have to say towards and never toward except in compounds (like untoward). But I have seen just toward used in AmEn so I guess it's a continental difference.

I like your poem, but I'm slightly saddened that the word fragments are never found.

Fragile words
After the ordeal: a closed courtroom, angry eyes,
She clothed herself in words, of which many were now lies.
Her identity was a crab-shell, hollow and yet strong,
And she lived a brand-new life, which felt very slightly wrong.

Greg - hah, the last few days he has started riding his tricycle tractor around the deck a lot more than he's been on his bike. I think he's well on his way to a pedal bike now...

Yeah, I think I've seen both ways written and used commonly. I probably use them interchangeably myself. Because screw being consistent.

Your poem, and the story it tells, fascinates me. I want to know more. But I also kind of don't. I like the mystery of it and a part of me wants it preserved.

The rest of me, obviously, wants to know the rest of the story :)
