The exercise:

Write two haiku about: making history.

  1. I like to think that something has happened this week that brings yesterday's and today's prompts together: clueless and making history. So I'm guessing that someone's put an inflatable sunbed on a beach, been floated out into the middle of the lake, and then nearly-drowned :)

    Making history
    Lies, written down for
    Everyone, by the winner
    Go on to be truth.

    Even heroes fade.
    No history lasts without
    Dedicated care.

It's an art not a science
    You can't scam history.

  3. Greg - heh, not quite. When I scheduled this one it was almost a certainty that the lake would reach its highest ever recorded level. Ending up falling a bit short of that, which is most definitely for the best.

Nicely done with the acrostic. I was quite certain the first would be my favorite, but then I read your second and now I can't decide.

    Morganna - I like this a lot :)
