The exercise:

Write a four line poem about: the youngest.

  1. Since you only have two children they're technically the elder and the younger; you'd only really need youngest if you were talking about more than two (so he could be the youngest member of your family), but I think that's a pretty fine distinction that not many people make these days :)

    In fairy tales it's always the youngest brother
    Who gets the princess and takes the throne.
    To give me a fair chance then, dearest mother,
    You can only have girls now, or just me alone.

    Hah, I like this a lot. Could be the start of something longer, but it is absolutely great on its own :)
