The exercise:

 Today is the 8th anniversary of our wedding. Of course I'm working, but Kat and I will be going out to dinner (without the kids) as soon as we can manage it.

 Anyway, write two haiku that have something to do with: eight.

    Octuplets, eight times....
    I'm suing the guy who did
    My vasectomy.

    Spiders laying lots of eggs...
    Eight days of terror.

    I'd do a lot more than sue that guy. A loooot more.

    Also: that second one is legitimately terrifying.
