The exercise:

Write four lines of prose about: a tall order.

  1. I can't tell if this is related to your previous prompts this week, or if it's an indirect reference to the events of this scrabble tournament so far :)

    A tall order
Penelope, who was nearly two metres tall already, just shrugged when the new ruling was explained to her, but Mary, who was a good 50cm shorter, looked apprehensive. "That's a tall order," she said, "literally! I'm scared of heights." Penelope smiled and set down VERTIGO and climbed the step-ladder two steps to retrieve tiles from the bag.
"The judge said there's also a mouse-trap in there," said Theresa casually.

  2. Greg - the latter, most assuredly. I've been trying to keep the Friday prompts at least a little bit related. Been harder recently, what with having fallen so far behind on comments. But I'll get there again :)

That last line caught me completely off guard, and it was an effort to not laugh out loud. Only because it's late here and I would've surely woken someone up.
