Write about something that is: inscrutable.

The exercise:
Write a four line poem about: innocence.
Last Saturday of June already, huh? Guess we're at the halfway point now.
Mine:
Clyde was innocent - relatively speaking -
While Charlie was the true threat.
Would he seek vengeance with his usual zest?
Well, that was a real safe bet.

Now that I've finally added to last month's post, let us revisit Empires.
With a whole week to spare before the end of the month.
Sigh.
Apologies, I'm trying to get things back on track around here.

The exercise:
Write a four line poem about: the twins.
Mine:
You see, Buddy had gone after the Karsk twins
For sins he couldn't forgive,
But The Master was horrified to learn that
It'd let the wrong brother live.

The exercise:
Write two haiku about: inertia.
Last night I finished the book I was reading. Yesterday also saw the completion of Daredevil season three, and I'm taking a little break before getting into Punisher season two.
So... let's see if I can redirect some energy and attention toward the blog.

The exercise:
Write a four line poem about: settling.
Mine:
Settled in the mountains, he poured a stiff drink
And tried to enjoy the view.
But then came word of Big Buddy's latest hit,
Which sent him spinning anew...

Write about something that is: magenta.
Sorry for the late post - sleep caught up with me tonight. Though, to be fair, I wasn't running very fast...

The exercise:
Write two haiku about something that is: gone but not forgotten.
Sunday marked 11 years since the start of this blog. And I forgot the anniversary yet again, thanks to me not creating it at the start of the month.
Though, to be honest, I'm not sure how much that would have actually helped me to remember the date...

Write a four line poem about: the hideout.
Mine:
While Buddy Jr. and its brother Bucky
Disposed of the two bodies,
The Master packed his bags and planned his route to
His hideout in the Rockies

The exercise:
Write about: going up.
Miles' numbers are still improving, slowly. They're still not finding anything that would suggest it's anything other than T.E.C.
We're back home, relieved and tired. Not sure when the next blood test will be done, but I'm hoping we can hold off for a bit.
Miles had a great time playing in the playroom at Children's... but he was still excited when we announced it was time to head for home.

The exercise:
Write two haiku about: the road trip.
Kat and I are in Vancouver tonight with Miles, as the folks at BC Children's Hospital want to see him. Nothing has changed with his diagnosis. They seem to think that this has gone on long enough without his numbers improving so they want to check him out for themselves.
His appointment is tomorrow morning, then the plan is to head back to Osoyoos after lunch. We left after work today, so I should only miss one day of work. This is the only post I'm scheduling - I'll share whatever updates I've got on Wednesday's post.
He's been doing good the last couple of days, really seeming like himself. So hopefully this will be the only time we have to do this.
Max is having a sleepover with Kat's parents. I hope he's having fun.

The exercise:
Write a four line poem about: children.
Mine:
Such serious men! The Master laughed. Relax!
Perhaps you need a plaything?
Oh, I know, he told them as the lights went out.
Have you met Buddy's offspring?
