The exercise:

Write two haiku about something that is: limitless.

  1. How does this fit in with yesterday's post? Are your new walls... limitless? o_O

    Limitless
    The syllable count
    Of my haiku sadly means
    They're not limitless.

    --------
    Devils, when simply
    Unconstrained, made limitless
    Become just evil

[The second haiku is a cryptic crossword trick: "limitless" means cutting of the first and last letters of a word]

  2. I chose to combine my two haiku to make it more seamless

    The exact number
    Of small freckles that speckle
    Of her ivory skin
    Are unknown to me
As such, my love for her is
    Unmeasurable

  3. Greg - hah, no. I can't remember what inspired this, actually. Probably something to do with one of the boys.

I am both impressed by and appreciate you teaching me something with your second haiku. I also like the self-awareness of your first :)

Ivy - ah, this is lovely. Nicely done :)
