  1. Since it's the end of the month I figured I'd gather all the verses so far together and see if they have the makings of anything. I will look forward to your opinion on them!

    Misconceptions
I’ve too many friends, too many people,
Too many Facebook-demands of my time.
I’m hitting delete, I’m starting anew,
I’m changing my face and turning to crime.

Too many Facebook-demands of my time,
I’m a librarian, my books must come first.
I’m changing my face and turning to crime.
I’m robbing a bank and stealing a hearse.

I’m a librarian, my books must come first,
Stacked in the parking lot, fearing the rain.
I’m robbing a bank and stealing a hearse,
Then taking my books and stealing a plane.

Stacked in the parking lot, fearing the rain,
My books contains maps that I’ve longed to explore.
Then taking my books and stealing a plane,
Is logical; that’s just what they’re for!

My books contain maps that I’ve longed to explore
But I know before long I’ll only want more. A cartographer
Is logical; that’s just what they’re for,
To add to the maps; I’ll get one at the store!

  2. Greg - you've set yourself up for a proper challenge with the format you've chosen. I'm impressed with how well they all go together, especially considering they get written a week apart.

I'd be happy to see this continued to see where it goes and where it ends up, but I also would fully appreciate that you might not want to undertake yet another yearlong poem :)
