The exercise:

Write two haiku about: the end of the road.

Feeling very glad I'm able to take a few days off before starting the new job. Going to take some time to process leaving this one.

  1. Ah. Does "taking time to process" mean that you were unexpectedly ordered to assassinate several of them and it's going to take a few days to bury the bodies where they won't be uncovered by earthquakes, snowmelt or adverse weather events? I recommend burying them with damaged climbing gear so that it looks like an unusual accident :)

    The end of the road
    I'm leaving, my 'dear';
    Your dramas, worries and fears
    Are all your own now.

    I've fought your demons,
    While you kept on feeding them.
    I want my life back.

  2. Greg - you, as always, are an unending fountain of delightful advice.

    Ooh, these are fantastic. Your second in particular, I'd say. Really good stuff this week.
