The exercise:
The starter for this Saturday's four line poem is: walking in a winter wonderland.
... yes, it's still snowing like Vancouver was uprooted and tossed into the Himalayas.
Mine:
I crunch my way through the snow,
More flutters down as I go,
To fill the footprints I laid,
As though they were never made.
A spring in my step,
ReplyDeleteThe crackle of snow under my feet,
Everywhere is white, bright white,
Walking in a winter wonderland.
for only a moment
ReplyDeletethis is all there is
cold, white, breath taking
wrapped in silent peace

I glance out the window as soon as i awake.
ReplyDeleteI smile as I see millions of snowflakes.
"This is the best birthday," I shouted from bed.
I quickly got dressed, so I could go sled.
