The exercise:

The topic for this week's four line poem is: blind-sided.

Mine:

There was never any peace when she drove,
Her words kept coming so fast;
But then one morning she missed the stop sign,
And she was silent at last.

  1. She directed performers left and right
    Never a moments pause
    Then HE walked into her line of sight
    And she forgot who she was!

  2. Elsha - it was inspired by a woman cutting me off this afternoon. The only reason I didn't blind-side her was because I kinda saw it coming.

    I like yours - a totally different kind of blind-side :)

  3. Legs ache as the hill gets steeper,
    My bike tries to respond,
    Opposing car sways to close,
    My heart skips a beat as I go.

  4. Septembermom - I'm not in constant fear of cars when I'm biking, but it's pretty close.

    Especially with parked cars. They're either about to pull out or blocking the view of cars approaching intersections from side streets.

    Everybody should just walk or bike ;)
