The exercise:

Let us have a go at writing some acrostics, shall we?

Mine:

My head
Is throbbing again.
Guess this pace I
Really can't sustain.
Alright, alright,
I'll go take a nap -
No more reading
Each and every scrap.

  1. Aw, poor Marc! I hope the headache's cleared up by now.

I'm not sure when exactly you're doing your sponsored walk, but I think it's this weekend. Good luck and have fun!

    An acrostic

I love this glass of wine,
Nose so beautiful, taste so fine

    Virgil and I stood talking,
In an ancient hall he'd brought me to,
Night had fallen and we all drank,
    Offering toasts to you-know-who.

    Very many libations later,
Everyone was unsteady and truths were told
Revelations that were best kept hid,
    Inexplicably were laid out cold.

Then such a rage rose up amongst us,
And we fell to fighting, it was ever thus.

Such is truth when men are drinking.

  3. Yeah, my migraines are generally one day affairs, thankfully. Haven't had one in ages though.

T'is this weekend indeed. I'll try to remember to bring my camera to capture some of the goodness.

I like yours very much - in vino veritas. Great choice for an acrostic :)
