The exercise:
It's late, I'm tired, and I want to go to bed.
That can only mean one thing: haiku!
Since my ultimate team finally won its first two games of the season tonight, the haiku topic shall be: winning.
Mine:
It's all fun and games;
Winning is not everything...
It's the only thing.
Winners and losers,
Which one you are matters not
When Death comes calling.
It's time to admit:
I'm fighting a lost battle.
I'm going to bed.
Congratulations on winning! Where does your team stand in the rankings then?
ReplyDeleteThe haikus are good, particularly the last one -- it seems heartfelt ;-)
Winning
I choose more numbers,
Win the lottery again,
Never bought a ticket.
Ah, well they split the summer into three sessions and after each of the first two sessions (usually) two teams move up a division and two teams move down.
ReplyDeleteSo we just started the second session so we had dropped down to Division 4... so I guess we're probably tied for first in our division, unless all the other teams went 1 and 1 last night.
Anywho. Your haiku proves that aggravating motto our lottery has: you can't win if you don't play.
Congratulations! By the way, I love your haiku. I am into custom essay writing but I'm planning to shift to poetry. Any advice for me? Thanks.
ReplyDeletewonderful website! I really like this, I have learned a lot of things.
