The exercise:
In a touch of a rush over here, so I'll get right to it.
Your four lines of prose this week shall be about: pub night.
Mine:
I'm going out to a pub tonight for my first face to face encounter with other writers on Protagonize. Scheduled to appear are locals Nickb (creator of Protag) and Asheyna, and all the way from the UK Dark Liquid (a fellow moderator) and his wife Druidx.
I'm both excited and nervous and excited.
Though I imagine after a round or two I'll just be excited :)
I look wistfully at the North American map on the wall. With a jealous smirk my eyes drift to the opposite coast and I shake my head. Even if I could get over there, I think, I'd still be a year and a half short.
ReplyDeleteStill, I continue to think optimistically, hopefully this one will go well enough to have a repeat event in the future.

Tomorrow may be 4-line poetry day (if I remember correctly), but I strongly suggest giving us a rundown of how this Protag meet-up goes. Ah, if only distance, borders, and age weren't the obstacles they are! Still, have fun tonight!
Woohoo! Have fun there tonight with all those Protagonists! Like g2, I wish I could be there as well, but since I can't, I shall just have to wait for the report of how it went :)
ReplyDeleteIt's been a long week, and I'm definitely glad it's the weekend. I'm off to Borough Market in an hour to buy oxtail, beef, sausages and bread, and then I'm chilling for the whole weekend.
Pub night
"Vince? Why are you dressed up like up a woman? Come to that, why is half the pub dressed like women, and the other half all wearing leather?"
Vince laid a hand gently on Dave's knee and leant in to say, "Dave, I've got something to tell you."
Greg & g2 - aw, I wish you both could have been there. Hopefully another time we'll do it up right, with loads of warning and proper planning and stuff.
