The exercise:
Your late night prompt is: lost in the jungle.
Not sure where exactly that came from, but let's see where it takes us.
Had a good time last night, with the final two fights sending everyone home happy. GSP is so good it's scary but I'm hoping the UFC will be able to find him some proper competition soon.
Mine:
The mosquitoes are
Bigger than zeppelins
And the ferns are like
Nature's skyscrapers.
About a mile back
I saw a snake grin,
Its tongue spitting foul,
Poisonous vapors.
I'm losing hope so
Fast my head's spinning.
If only I could
Recall what I read
In that survival book
By Professor Ling!
I guess I really
Should have stayed in bed.

What is they say? No matter how good you are, there's always someone looking to be better? I'm sure GSP will get a little good competition soon enough :) Sounds like it was a good card though!
Re your comment on my submission yesterday, I've had an idea about a chef-assassin hanging around in my head for a while: see here (best to read the posts from the bottom up).
I like your lost in the jungle poem, especially the last verse about the survival book. Such things are really useful... so long as you read them before you go!
Lost in the jungle
In the jungle, the mighty jungle,
The lion sleeps tonight
(Wimoweh, wimoweh, wimoweh, wimoweh)
Oh that's torn it,
Who brought the choir?
(Wimoweh, wimoweh, wimoweh, wimoweh)
The lion's awake now,
And I can't find the way back
(Wimoweh, wimoweh, wimoweh, wimoweh)
Lost in the jungle,
Hiding from the choir
(Wimoweh, wimoweh, wim--o--aaargh!)
The lion sleeps once more,
Sated by his musical feast,
And I can struggle to find a way home,
Quietly.
Dedication: To the mentally ill
Lost in the jungle of my mind
Turning and turning with no way out
Screaming to the echoes of my soul

There's more, but it's not coming right now. I think I'll work on it later.
Greg - haha, that's great. Let the lion dine on the noisy pricks and then sneak off safely afterward!
Morganna - I always like it when one of my prompts takes someone somewhere I didn't expect :)
I look forward to seeing the rest when it decides to share itself with you.
