The exercise:
This late night edition of Two Haiku Tuesday is brought to you by: trains.
Mine:
The views are brilliant
But the train's swaying motion
Leads me to sweet dreams
* * *
The train is sold out?
Like that's going to stop me -
I'll just ride up top.
Heh, you must have ridden some Indian trains, given your second haiku there! I totally agree with the first one though, an inter-city train is a really peaceful way to travel (in the UK, they're the only ones with decent gaps between stops. Inside the cities, you barely get five minutes before a new stop appears, sometimes only two.)
ReplyDeleteTrains
I can listen to
Far-away trains passing by
All night long with you.
---------
No volcanic ash
Shall stay the proud iron steed
It shall cross the world.
Toys, full size, live steam
ReplyDeleteMy family loves all trains.
Do I love them, too?
Greg - I actually had the movie The Darjeeling Limited in mind when I wrote that one :)
ReplyDeleteI like both of yours, but the romantic in me says the first one is better.
Morganna - I've always wanted a toy train :)
