The exercise:
Two haiku about: intelligence.
Back to work in the garden today, but tried to take it a little easy after a long day yesterday. Tonight we enjoyed our first taste of this year's veggies - steamed greens with dinner! Yum, we've been waiting a long time for that.
Mine:
"My intelligence
is secret, you can't see it."
I think he's just dumb.
* * *
My brain is sleeping -
the sign across my eyes reads:
Please do not disturb.
I liked your piece yesterday :) I think the first bit got up before midnight, the second a little after, but that's based on me having time to post between the two.
ReplyDeleteAh, vegetables fresh from the garden -- nothing beats the taste!
I like your second haiku best today, I think.
Oh, and a quick heads up: I'm off to Pretoria from Thursday evening for a week, and as I understand the situation there, I'm unlikely to have any internet connection at all. So I won't be able to post until I'm back -- probably best to expect the Saturday. I'm not hiding though :)
Intelligence
Oxymorons rule!
Mil'tary Intelligence
Is my favourite.
-----
The AI watches,
Seeing humans like children,
Protecting, for now.
He's a Star Trek Fan
ReplyDeleteAnd knows when to bring flowers
Smart men are sexy
:)
There are different kinds of intelligence:
ReplyDeleteHe thinks he knows best
Never listens to advice
Should I warn of quicksand?
She can't pay the bills
Always forgets boiling pans --
She can grow flowers!
Intelligence
ReplyDeleteOn a whim he shows -
To the intelligent few
a simplicity.

One plus one is two,
Maths can be easy and fun -
A smart attitude.
Greg - thanks for letting me know, and enjoy your visit!
ReplyDeleteThat 'for now' in the second haiku works so well. Nicely done.
Shauna - haha, sounds like a great catch :)
And welcome to the blog! I hope to see more writing from you.
Morganna - your first one made me smile, as did the second. I can't pick a favorite!
Watermark - really like that first one. Very nicely done.
