The exercise:
Write two haiku about: partners.
Made Kat a spaghetti squash pasta with halibut for dinner tonight. The tomatoes I roasted for the pasta sauce were a big hit and the fish was only a little bit overcooked - which isn't bad, considering we were dealing with Max having a before bed meltdown when I'd planned on getting it out of the oven.
Tomorrow morning I'm hoping to get our tomatoes and peppers started in the greenhouse. If that doesn't take too long I might even get out to the garden to do some weeding and mulching around the garlic plants.
It's getting to be that time of year again.
Mine:
Through the years we've seen
it all, or close enough, and
I still love your smile
* * *
You're always by my
side; I can't wait for the day
this glue will wear off

Fish is tricky, it overcooks really quickly. I'd say you did well with it, given you had a temperamental Max having a temper tantrum at the time :) And it sounds like the person it was cooked for appreciated it... which is surely the most important point of all!
I think I like you second haiku better today, because I like the idea of people being glued together. I'm sure that would make for an interesting society where that was used instead of prison punishment.
Partners
North always has South
But they may only meet twice:
the North and South poles
--------
Called Partners in Rhymes
They perform'd live poetry
To conceal their crimes....
Share and share alike
Down through the years, supporting
Each other, always.
There they go skipping,
Bloody hand in bloody hand.
All ribbons and curls.
The murderous twins
That play in blood and carnage.
Lord help their next kill.
Greg - oh lord, the punishment possibilities of that system. I don't even want to think about who they'd glue me to...
More Partners in Rhymes please. Just one of their adventures. Maybe two. Or more.
You know, if you feel like it.
Morganna - that's a lovely sentiment :)
Ivybennet - I'm pretty sure I want to know more about these two. Pretty sure.
They scare me a little though...
