The exercise:
Write a four line poem about: Frosty the Snowman.
Made it to the end of my work week. Very much looking forward to having the next few days to spend with family and get some things done around the house.
Reasonably busy day at the bakery. Didn't sell out but also didn't have an excessive amount of stuff left at closing.
Sleepy now. So let's do this.
Mine:
He's in the front yard,
Searching for his hat;
At this chilly pace,
He'll take a while at that...
Congratulations! And you did it all without ruptions, ructions or relapsing, so there's that to be proud of! :-D I hope the next couple of days are gentler for you, before it all starts over again.
ReplyDeleteWell, your Frosty seems like a gentle character, if absent-minded, and I rather like the image you've presented in the poem, so well done!
Frosty the snowman
Frosty's got some brothers that he doesn't talk about:
There's Slushy – alcoholic – Grimy, Tim and Snout.
Grimy fences things and Tim's still doing time,
And Snout's the local leader of violence and crime.
Greg - thanks!
ReplyDeleteI quite like the idea of Frosty's brother Slushy, the alcoholic. I feel like we could hear a story or ten from him :)
Although, to be fair, I think Snout and Grimy could be intriguing as well. And tales from behind bars from Tim? Yeah all right, I could quite happily hear more from any of them.
