Lights out Theresa and Margaret acted so swiftly, and were so well-coordinated, that you might think they were used to having to duck-and-cover away from the Scrabble board in a tournament, but that would then lead you to impolite speculation on how they played their games. Two invigilators raced across the hall from opposite sides, both holding odd-shaped nets that seemed to twist and distort even though there was no wind in there. As Claire started to stand up, growing in all dimensions and pushing the table away from her and the board to the floor a soft-grey light seemed to spread out from her as well. Then the invigilators ran past each other, their nets cast out towards Claire, and she disappeared with a soft pop.

Greg - hah, love your opening sentence. And, well, this tournament is, it is rapidly becoming clear, delightfully out of the ordinary.
