The exercise:

Write a four line poem about something that is: impenetrable.

  1. Hmm, what is impenetrable? Emma's silence? The approach to Kittering's Vigil? Something else altogether? Let's see....

    Impenetrable
Spud’s men have set a perimeter
Whose delimiter is the range of night-vision goggles.
It seems impenetrable. Unless you’re Red
Leaping from tree to tree, nearly invisible.

  2. Greg - I did leave it open for interpretation; I figure I've been guiding things too directly with my prompts.

Hah, that's a fine route to take. The image of Red going tree to tree is delightful. I have no idea what he's planning on doing, but I look forward to finding out!
