The exercise:
Not having the best day ever, so the prompt is: bad day blues.
Mine:
Bad day blues
Blindly drinking booze
Dark bitter days
Disjointed blurry daze
Answers give away
Anger gone astray
Gritty acrid glow
Gloom always grows
Sad footsteps slow
Secret feelings show
Falling snow flakes
Facade so fake
Sorry you were feeling down.
ReplyDeleteI hope the stars infuse you
with all their brightest light
and warm all your beautiful colours
to shine even in darkest night.
You turned your blues into something beautiful by the way. I think i will try too.
I left
Tulips
At the door
I left
My heart
On the floor
I left
My body
Left before
I left
My spirit
Wanting more
I left
My beauty
To ignore
It was actually pretty therapeutic to write that yesterday. I also had a much, much better day today so life is good again.
ReplyDeleteThank you for both poems - the first made me smile, and I could feel the second deep inside.
