The exercise:
Oh dear, I've gone and done it now.
In completely unrelated news, your Two Haiku Tuesday topic this week: over my head.
Also: fear not, I'll still find time for this blog. Everything else though? Maybe I can fit in eating and sleeping. If I quit my job.
Also also: around here November might turn into DaHaiWriMo (Daily Haiku Writing Month).
It's going to be interesting.
Mine:
Oh, what have I done?
Surely I have lost my mind!
If not, I will soon.
* * *
My feet in concrete,
Water fills my lungs. I think
I'm over my head.
Congratulations on entering! Sadly I don't think I can shuffle enough of my commitments out of the way to do NaNoWriMo this year, but... there's not reason I can't pick my own month to do it :)
ReplyDeleteObviously I'll be keeping an eye on your progress.
Second haiku made me smile on an otherwise grey morning ;-)
Over my head
No time to turn back,
Or slow down, all because I'm
In over my head.
-----
Sun warms and reminds,
Gentle golden rays of life,
It's over my head
What were you thinking?
ReplyDeleteWhat do you think you're doing?
It's just ludicrous!
I'm not in this time,
But that won't stop me from
Being cheerleader!

Well, goodbye to any hope for a November follow-up. Ah well. I wish you the best of luck with NaNo. I wish I had time to do it, but November happens to be a perenially busy month for me... but just because I can't participate doesn't mean I can't be encouraging for anyone who is taking this on! Woo!
Still, I wonder the same thing you wonder: What were you thinking?!
Greg - damn, I was hoping you'd join me in this madness. I bet you could do it easily too, you churn out way more work than I do.
ReplyDeleteYour second one, in turn, also made me smile.
g2 - yeah, goodbye to November in general, haha. Oh well, I might just burn out one week in and go back to working on other things at a more sane rate.
And I do appreciate any encouragement you can spare :)
