The exercise:
Write two haiku about: the nanny.
We've hired a part-time nanny for the boys so that Kat can actually get some work done during the day. She started last week and it's going pretty well so far, for everybody.
The nanny is called Mary Poppins right? She arrived by umbrella, wears oddly old-fashioned clothes, breaks into song when you least expect or want it and had an odd obsession with spoonfuls of sugar, right? Because that would be awesome (for the rest of us)!
The nanny Tell me, why is the Nanny on the "naughty step"? Our kids learned to curse...!
---- A spoonful of salt In Daddy's morning coffee -- He fired the Nanny
[I think "fired" is a single syllable but that might be my dialect of English :)]
Greg - hah. I wouldn't know, actually, as I haven't met her yet, what with being at work whenever she's here. I haven't heard any strange stories from the boys yet, but obviously they could just be sworn to secrecy.
Hah, and no teaching curse words as of yet :D
Fired... if I slow it down is two, but I think in normal conversation I'd say it as one. Either way... the firing was justified :P
