The exercise:
Write about: letters.
Farewell February. Can't say you'll be missed.

The exercise:
Let us continue the yearlong prompt, and not a moment too soon. Let us continue our journey Out of the Woods.
The exercise:
Write four lines of prose about: there's a new sheriff in town.
My (joking) response when someone at work was surprised that the agenda was published earlier than usual. The reality was that it's a smaller one that usual and I wasn't stuck waiting on reports to be approved or submitted at the last minute.
The exercise:
Write about: a leak.
Unexpectedly worked from home for the first time this afternoon, as there was a gas leak at the boys' school and they were sent home rather early in the day. Kat had a client booked, so I came home at lunch and managed to get a couple things done while keeping an eye on the boys.
Hoping next time I work from home they'll be safely away at school.
The exercise:
Write two haiku about the number: two.
Just an added bonus that 02/22/2022 fell on a Tuesday, really.
The exercise:
Write about: a release.
It's been a good long weekend here. Everybody's back to work and school tomorrow.
The exercise:
Write a four line poem about: getting away.
Before turning up for the birthday festivities Kat and I went snowshoeing for the first time this winter. We've been wanting to go for a while now but childcare options have been pretty limited.
It was good to get up in the mountains and have some time together without the boys, but we're also glad to have them back home with us tonight.
The exercise:
Write four lines of prose about something that is: delayed.
The boys didn't have school today, and Monday is Family Day here in BC, so they went down to Osoyoos for a sleepover. Which allowed Kat and I the opportunity to have a slightly delayed Valentine's dinner out.
We'll be joining them tomorrow afternoon for our niece Emersyn's 6th birthday celebration on the farm.
The exercise:
Write about something that is: long.
Board days are long days. Feel like I'm getting the hang of it now though, with this being my third already.
The exercise:
Write two haiku about: gas stations.
Haven't had much need for one since starting the new job. Went from weekly fills to having filled up once in the last four weeks.
The exercise:
Write about something that is: wireless.
The wireless headphones that I'd ordered through work finally arrived today, so now I can stop bringing my earbuds from home every day. Plus my wireless mouse came in last week, so my workspace is starting to take proper shape.
Now we just need to move to our permanent location within the building and I will be very pleased indeed.
The exercise:
Write a four line poem about: a year in the life.
Today marks the one year anniversary of our moving into our home in Penticton. It's been quite a ride.
The exercise:
Write four lines of prose about: flexibility.
Worked out a flexible work schedule this morning with my boss. Starting next week I'll be coming in half an hour late and taking half an hour off my lunch on Mondays and Wednesdays so that I can drop the boys off at school twice a week. Wanting both to take some of the burden off of Kat and to have a little extra time with Max and Miles in the morning.
Feeling very grateful for having a job that not only allows but encourages that sort of flexibility in my schedule.
The exercise:
Write about something that is: otherworldly.
Prompt partially inspired by the Canadian Men's National Soccer Team being on the verge of qualifying for their second ever World Cup, the only previous time happening back in 1986.
Also: I know I'm slacking on comments again. I plan to catch up in the next couple of days.
The exercise:
Write two haiku about: Wordle.
I have recently fallen prey to the... phenomenon? Sure. I'm only eleven days in but I'm definitely hooked. I especially like how people can share their results without spoiling anything and I think my brain is very fond of the colour patterns and trying to figure out how others got to the answer.
This will all change, I'm sure, the first day I'm unable to determine the answer and I rage quit the whole deal.
