The exercise:
Write four lines of prose about: there's a new sheriff in town.
My (joking) response when someone at work was surprised that the agenda was published earlier than usual. The reality was that it's a smaller one that usual and I wasn't stuck waiting on reports to be approved or submitted at the last minute.

Hahaha, we know you pretended it was a joke, but I'm sure Canada's premier assassin (also known as the assassin of Premiers) is certainly the new sheriff in town. By the way, any word on when your handlers are sending you to deal with the Putin problem? :-D
A new sheriff in town
"There's a new sheriff in town, Kate."
"What happened to the old one?"
"Drowned in the sheep dip up on the Johnson property after the Williams barbecue last weekend."
Kate grinned and held her hand out expectantly; betting on how each sheriff would depart the town might be a little ghoulish but she was getting very good at arranging for her predictions to come true.
Greg - hah. And I *wish* I could do something about 'the Putin problem'...
Ooh, that took an unexpected turn in the final line. Nicely done!
