Daily writing prompts from June 9th, 2008 to December 31st, 2022
The exercise:
Write four lines of prose about: patterns.
Hmm, patterns on things, patterns found in things, or something else? This prompt seems to have a lot of directions it could go in!Patterns"These sea-birds that you've discovered, Professor, with the moiré markings on their wings... we've identified the taxon for them, it's Sternini.""That's excellent news, Joshua, but you know that I'm naming them after my wife, Patricia, right?""Are you sure that's appropriate, Sir?""Yes. These birds will, henceforth, be known as the Pat Terns."
Ah! Typo in the last line there, it should be "Yes, these birds..." so that there are indeed only four lines!
Greg - that sounds like an ideal writing prompt to me :)Hah, I did notice the period and immediately thought it was a typo. Thanks for confirming it though!Also... I am, as usual, deeply impressed by your ability to find the most obscure take on the prompt possible.
