The exercise:

Write four lines of prose about: signing on the dotted line.

Everything has been signed now, as of this afternoon. We get the keys Monday morning. So we're officially into the lasts now.

Welcome to our last Friday night at Kat's parents house.

Almost there! I hope it's a good last few days before you move, and I hope that the move goes smoothly and without any hiccoughs :)

Signing on the dotted line
Berthil, one of the four Notaries of the Unreal City sat in his office, waiting for his client, gazing out of the large wall-spanning window that showed the snow falling onto tall buildings and the tops of trees. His office was two floors shy of the top of Regency Tower, a building steeped in history, intrigue and lightly spattered with blood, and the view was unparalleled in this quarter of the City. Somewhere within the cavernous, shadowed depths of his office a clock sombrely struck the hour, the gong-like sounds reverberating through the high-ceilinged rooms and shivering the ornaments and objet's d'art on his desk.
"Signing on the dotted line, today?" asked Berthil without turning round disconcerting his client, who had slipped in silently, only slightly.

Greg - thank you! Me too.

Nice to have a visit, however brief, to the Unreal City. Berthil is yet another intriguing character. I would suspect he has plenty of interesting visitors and clients.
