The exercise:
Write two haiku about: the Christmas concert.
The boys' school Christmas concert was this evening and it went really well. Especially proud of Max, as he shared narrator duties with the rest of his grade 3/4 class and totally nailed his (memorized) part.
And Miles was adorable in his cow costume, so wins all around.

The cow costume sounds like fun! Was it some Jack and the Beanstalk type tale?
And what is a grade 3/4 class? I'm guessing that it's not three-quarters but rather some kind of mixed-age class due to small numbers of children in those groups?

Greg - it was the story of the nativity, more or less. Miles was part of the animals in the manger. And yes, it's a mix of grade 3s and 4s :)
And now that I think about it, it's actually the 4/5 class. The school groups kindergarten and grade 1, grades 2 and 3, and grades 4 and 5.
That sounds like quite the concert. The manger being on fire is a very vivid detail!
