Given how your year has gone up there in BC I expect this prompt refers to a sudden volcanic eruption that means you're all six hundred metres further above sea-level than you expected and that the only way back down is on a glassy, obsidian, slippery slope :)
A slippery slope Snow fell, melted, froze. Then people came, slipped, and fell. A slippery slope....
---- We descend to Hell, The slope is slippery and Coming first is bad.
Greg - hah, not entirely wrong. The roads have gotten real slippery with all the snow we've been getting. Gone for a few car slides recently. Enough that I'll be keeping close to home as much as reasonably possible for as long as reasonably possible.
So, yeah, pretty much your first haiku around here.
