The exercise:
With September drawing to a close as unexpectedly as it arrived on the scene, write four lines of prose about: a graceful exit.

The exercise:
Once again on the last possible day of the month, we return to getting Out of the Woods.
I mean, our heroes are literally out of the woods now, but I think it's safe to say they are nowhere near being idiomatically out of the woods.
The exercise:
Hey, it's been a little bit since the last Random CD prompt, so why don't you pick a song and make use of its first line as your own opening today? And then, as per the usual routine, take it wherever you're inspired to go from there.
The exercise:
Write four lines of prose about: the print shop.
At work we got the ballots from the printers this afternoon, so now we can start giving people who want to vote by mail their packages. I'm part of the team coordinating that part of things, so I expect that will be keeping me quite busy in the lead up to election day, which is October 15th.
The exercise:
Write about something: extra.
Don't know that I've ever appreciated an unexpected three day weekend more than this one. When word came through early last week that the office would be closed today for Queen Elizabeth's memorial I gained a whole new appreciation for the monarchy.
The exercise:
Write about: a coma.
What did you do today? More than me, I can guarantee. For I? I did nothing at all...
The exercise:
Write a four line poem about: ignition.
Done with being in the car for a few days. And sitting for long periods of time. And thinking.
(Honestly it was genuinely interesting and useful stuff but, like, brain done now)
The exercise:
Write four lines of prose about: a network.
Got into more "relevant to my job" type stuff today, so was definitely more interesting for me. Head is again very full. One more day and then... brain goes offline for a little bit.
The exercise:
Write something which takes place: in the classroom.
Head is very full. Was a good day though. The instructor is both knowledgeable and affable and it seems like a good group of fellow students to go through this with.
The exercise:
Write about: a law.
Driving back and forth to Kelowna the next three days for the in-person portion of my municipal law course that begins this week. After this it's all online, which is pretty convenient.
Feeling pretty weird to be a student again after all this time. I am excited to finally be getting going on earning my Local Government Administration Certificate and incredibly grateful that work is paying for me to do so.
The exercise:
Write about: a write-off.
Apt description for the day. Got off to a rough start and never improved. Might as well finish it off with a migraine.
The exercise:
Write about: the drive.
Too much time on the road the last couple of days, but we're back home and more or less ready for the week ahead.
The exercise:
Write a four line poem about: a compromise. Or something that has been compromised. Or even a compromising situation, if that strikes your fancy.
We're in Kamloops for the night for one of Kat's cousin's wedding. It's been a big day.
The exercise:
Write four lines of prose about: the candidates.
The deadline for local government nomination packages to be submitted was this afternoon for BC. Of the nine electoral areas in the regional district, we've got four returnees winning by acclimation and five elections to run (4 incumbents with challengers and 1 area with the incumbent choosing not to run again).
Should be an interesting next month. Election day is October 15th.
The exercise:
Write two haiku about: going back to school.
Boys were back for a half day today. I'm starting a course through work next week. 'Tis the season.
The exercise:
Write about: an ending.
Took the boys for another visit to Kangaroo Creek Farm today as an end of summer celebration. Hard to believe they're back to school tomorrow.
The exercise:
Write about: a family dinner.
Had Kat's aunt and uncle who live in Penticton over for a BBQ this evening. Between the pandemic and moving, it was our first dinner guests in a long time.
The exercise:
Write four lines of prose about: the system is down.
Technology issues at work today. Also this.
The exercise:
Write about something or someone that is: early.
Like, September this year, I'm pretty sure.
