The exercise:

Write a four line poem about: a compromise. Or something that has been compromised. Or even a compromising situation, if that strikes your fancy.

We're in Kamloops for the night for one of Kat's cousin's wedding. It's been a big day.

So... did you and Kat compromise over who was going to attend the wedding (it sounds like you might have left the boys behind), or did you compromise over the wedding gift (you got the happy couple half a canteen of cutlery and half a fishing rod?) or did you compromise over where'd you stay in Kamloops (Kat gets to pick the hotel but you get to insist on being on the 33rd floor?) or... is the wedding itself the compromise, and Kat's cousin is marrying the sister of his/her girlfriend (a bit like Jacob and Rebecca in the bible)?

Compromise
I’ll challenge the gods and steal fire from their hearth,
…or maybe I’ll borrow some matches and wood.
Though they’re taking a most twisted path
My intentions are pure and my plans are for good.

Greg - I don't even know where to start with you sometimes.

I think the compromise had something to do with the boys, but I can't recall the specifics at the moment.

Not convinced your hero(?)'s intentions are pure. Even less convinced that a plan exists at all at this point, much less good ones :P
