I can see Christmas is starting to occupy your mind full time :) As it falls on a weekend this year, how much time do you get off work for it? Malta only has Christmas day as a public holiday (and usually they're ignored if they fall on a weekend) but I think we get Monday off this year for Christmas.
Mr and Mrs Claus Mr and Mrs Claus were preppers: his family were Scandinavian survivalists and hers were deep-Floridian cultists with a belief that guns made everything better. Their home, charmingly called the North Pole of Florida, was surrounded by barbed wire, burning oil barrels, crocodile-filled ponds and creeks, an actual machine-gun nest modelled on ones used in the Vietnam war, and a reindeer farm to ensure a plentiful supply of meat when their prepper instincts were proven right. Despite the warning signs and burned-out jeep on route to their house people still turned up every year trying to deliver letters to Santa and show their children where he lived. "I've added land mines this year," said Mr Claus to his wife in a tone of satisfaction.
Greg - the office will be closed between Christmas and New Year's, as the Town of Osoyoos does, so my last day is the 23rd and then I won't be back until January 3rd. So, a nice little break that I think everyone is starting to think about a lot and productivity is, unsurprisingly, dropping steadily as the holidays approach.
