This prompt seems unrelated to the previous ones, and I am saddened that we're not setting a set of rhymes related to plight. But I shall soldier on :)
The throne A throne made of bones, Fit for a dog -- who rules well When he's not biting.
------ It's an office chair, Karen, not a throne, and you're Not our Queen-Empress.

The throne
A throne made of bones,
Fit for a dog -- who rules well
When he's not biting.
------
It's an office chair,
Karen, not a throne, and you're
Not our Queen-Empress.
A seat for a King
Or a Queen ... if she can hold
On. Are you enough?
On top of a land
Filled with rust and broken glass
She sits with legs crossed.
Ascertaining it
With a look of bored disgust,
Queen of all and none.
Greg - glad to see you managed to carry on :P
Hah! Hard to choose between these two. But the first reminds me of Hilda, so that's my fav this week.
Morganna - ooh, a whole lot of story in one haiku. Impressive.
Ivy - really like the image you've painted in your first. That's definitely my fav this go around.
