The exercise:
Write four lines of prose about: moving on.
Roads were pretty crap this morning, but were significantly better on the way home. Just a weekend and two work days left now.
Starting to feel all the feels.

Write about: a visitor.
Yup, snow day. 11 cm of snow fell overnight and our townhouse complex wasn't plowed until late morning. Don't think the streets were much better, but the city plans on working through the night to get everything cleared.
Boys helped me shovel the driveway and clear snow off the vehicles before lunch. And by helped I mean they did that for a little while and then spent the rest of the time we were outside building a snow fort.
The exercise:
Write about: a pattern.
I see I managed to make it a whole four days into the year before getting the date wrong. Might be a new record.
My request to take Wednesday through Friday off next week was approved today, so I now have four days of work left in Osoyoos.
Although looking at the forecast for tonight and tomorrow morning, there's a decent chance it's only three. The snow is coming down already...
The exercise:
Write two haiku about: the mind is willing.
So it turned out neither my mind nor my body were ready to be back at work today. Got through it anyway.
The exercise:
Write about: progress.
Max has officially chosen Midnight as his fish's name. I approve, for the record. Of both names. And I want full credit for not interfering with the naming process.
Back to work in the Osoyoos tomorrow. The countdown is definitely on now.
The exercise:
Write about: pets.
The boys got the rest of their Christmas presents from myself and Kat this afternoon. On the big day they'd received their fish tanks, and today they got to pick out their fish.
Miles choose a veiltail betta fish that he immediately named Blueberry. Max selected a halfmoon betta that he is thinking about calling Midnight but hasn't fully settled on quite yet.
The exercise:
Write a four line poem about: let us begin anew.
Hello, 2022. Let's see what you have in store for us.
