I am glad that you have someone in mind already for the role of Miss Sweetie Poo and controlling your rogue Director. I think you've made an admirable choice :)

Hazard
"What's in them? Anything hazardous?" Dread sounded fascinated by the stasis chambers and Fabian, who had called him immediately upon returning to his office, shrugged and then realised that Dread couldn't see him.
"No idea," he said. "The Maestro didn't offer any guesses and said that the paperwork might be wrong anyway."
"The Museum gets paperwork wrong?" asked Dread in mock shock. "Surely not!"
"The Museum gets audited and the Auditors sabotage the paperwork," said Fabian with just a little anger creeping into his words.
"We shouldn't joke about that," said Dread after just enough of a pause to warn Fabian to think before he spoke again. Fabian thought. And mentally sighed.
"True," he said slowly. "They have a difficult job to do, and it's never-ending."
"Indeed," said Dread. "In fact, I was talking to one of my colleagues the other day in the Imperial Geology section and he said that they were being audited for the first time in living memory. Can you imagine, being audited and having no idea what that entails, or what you have to prepare for it."
"Really?" Fabian thought hard for a moment; Dread had to be telling him this for a reason. "All of Imperial Geology?"
"Minerals and Crystals are going first," said Dread. "There's a rumour that if they are at 100% then the audit won't need to proceed further."
"Lucky them," said Fabian with feeling. He'd love an audit that ended early because they were so well prepared for it. "On an unrelated note, there was a staff we were discussing a while back, something ceremonial, but can you remind me if it had any precious gems or crystals set in it? The Museum insurance policy cares about those kinds of things."
"Two," said Dread, stifling a small chuckle. "Ah, tickle in my throat there. Very pure crystals, rare, hard to obtain. Very suitable for a Museum, I should think."
"Good, good," said Fabian trying to sound as though he was musing over cost and exhibition space. "But worrying too, wouldn't you say?"
"Very," said Dread.
"Hmm," said Fabian. "Which brings me back full circle, you know. The Maestro wants a containment crew for when we open the stas--"
"I've got just the guys," interrupted Dread. "I'll talk to him myself, he's probably keeping the details as quiet as possible. And I'll come with them. To supervise."
Fabian smiled, but the smile faded quickly. "Why is he keeping this so secret?"
"Cost, probably," said Dread. "You're going to have to approve this, so I hope you're keeping your secretary sweet."
"HR manager," said Fabian automatically. Cass hated being described as a secretary. Then he thought about what Dread had just said and a cold shiver ran down his spine: not only did he not want to have to tell her about this, but she was probably still sitting in her office waiting for him....
"Got to go," he said, "and thanks for the reminder!"
"What?" said Dread as the connection closed.

Greg - I'm rather pleased to find that my prompts have been lining up so well with your story, as I hadn't been keeping up with my reading before choosing them.

Oh boy. Things are continuing to escalate all over the place. I had nearly forgotten about all the other aspects of the story, with how fascinating I was finding the figurine goings on.
