Heh, Marie and Richard will probably pop up again too then :) I think part of the problem is that I have too many characters so none of them are that regular unless they get a full story about themselves. I wonder if I ought to resolve in 2018 to reduce the cast to just the main characters and stick to writing about them? Maybe you could resolve to work through that "to be continued" list you have too :)

Santa's workshop
Black smoke streams unrelentingly from furnace chimneys,
White snow tries in vain to hide black industrial stains.
Secret arctic mining strips the earth of precious metals,
Nothing stops in the quest to feed Santa's workshop.

[It suddenly occurred to me that with about 2 billion children in the world Santa can't possibly be running a cottage workshop -- it's got to be factories and the logistics that come with it. So Donald Trump opening up the Arctic for mining for US interests can only result in... War With Santa! Plus I think the scene above would make for an interesting christmas card for environmentalists.]

Greg - I'm torn. On the one hand I'd be terribly happy to see you go further in depth with the characters I already know. But on the other... I'd hate to see you limiting yourself, not to mention missing out on all the great new characters you bring to the blog on such a regular basis. Up to you though.

Me? I don't do resolutions :P

This seems terribly accurate. And... in this day and age, I'm not sure Santa would win that war...
